On April 15, 2020, the Doctrine and Training Centre of the Polish Armed Forces in cooperation with the Department of Political Science McGill University (Montreal, Canada), Simulation and Modelling, Technology School - Defence Academy of the United Kingdom (Shrivenham, Great Britain) and LBS Consultancy (Chippenham, United Kingdom) organizes scientific seminar as part of the NUP 2X35 campaign. The topic of the seminar is: "WARGAMING AS A TOOL USED IN THE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS IN DEFEATING ON MILITARY AND NON-MILITARY THREATS".
During the seminar Mr. Graham LONGLEY-BROWN from LBS Consulting will present the scope of use and ways of organizing war games. Next, Maj. Tom MOUAT from the United Kingdom Defence Academy will present the issues of organizing war games at operational and strategic level. Finally, Professor Rex BRYNNEN from the University of Mc Gill in Canada, based on the experience in cooperation with the Canadian Armed Forces, will familiarize participants the use of war games in supporting the decision-making process in combating military and non-military threats (e.g COVID-19).
Due to restrictions related to preventing the spread of a pandemic, the seminar that will take place on April 15 this year (from 13.30-15.30), will be conducted in the form of a webinar using the MS TEAMS application and transmitted via YouTube.
Participants (with the status of "guest") will have the opportunity to participate in the webinar through access to YouTube broadcasts (based on the shared link). Questions will be asked via chat. Registration of participants with the status of "guest" takes place using the MS FORMS registration form available on DCT PAF website until April 14, 2020. After registration, participants with the status of "guest" will receive a link to YouTube broadcast from the organizer.
